Before Sifis crossed paths with our volunteer, it seemed almost certain that he wouldn’t make it.
Abandoned at a construction site, lying on the cold ground, he was trembling. Skin and bones, with barely any fur… he looked more like a shadow than a dog.

The workers said he had been like that for over a month, with no one ever stopping to help him. Sifis was immediately brought to the shelter.

He was gravely ill, positive for Leishmania, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, and Babesia.
And yet, his blood results gave us hope… and in his eyes, there was still a spark. That pure, instinctive will to live.

In just a few short weeks, wrapped in care and love, Sifis began to bloom. His fur grew back, his body grew stronger, and something deep inside him began to shine again.
