Giulio was found alone on a remote beach in the northern part of Loutraki. A kind couple, camping nearby, noticed his thin body and the quiet sadness in his tired eyes. Worried he might be sick or abandoned, they contacted the local municipality and Giulio was brought to safety and into our care.

From the very moment he arrived, Giulio’s gentle spirit began to shine. Like so many Greek harehounds, he carries a quiet grace — sweet, curious, and always ready to lean in for a soft touch or a kind word. He has the kind of soul that makes you pause and smile. The kind that simply wants to love and be loved in return.

But life in the shelter has slowly taken its toll. At first, Giulio was full of playful energy, eager to explore, make friends, and embrace this new chapter. But over time, being surrounded by many other dogs (especially some more dominant males) has made him withdraw. His spark has dimmed, just a little. And it breaks our hearts.

Giulio doesn’t belong behind shelter walls. He belongs in someone’s arms.
In a quiet, loving home where he can finally feel safe, and be cherished for the gentle soul he is.

He is neutered, healthy, and has tested negative for all diseases. He’s about 16 kilos. All he’s missing is a family of his own — someone to look into his warm, expressive eyes and see the beautiful heart inside…

Please consider opening your heart to Giulio.
He needs you more than words can say.
He’s been waiting , so patiently, for someone just like you.
