❤️ Adopted & Loved ❤️
Laika and her eight brothers and sisters, were born in a field by a fearful mom. We were able to take the eight puppies to a dog hotel, and then they came to the rescue. But Laika, the ninth pup, was adopted by a woman who lived near the field where they were born.
Laika had a happy life with her adopter, but when the woman’s health began to decline, she could no longer care for Laika. Sadly, that meant Laika had to come back to the rescue. Laika is naturally a shy dog (just like her mom), so the first few weeks at the rescue were really tough on her. But over time, she started to warm up to the other dogs, and eventually, she allowed us to get closer without growling. We still can’t fully pet her, but she lets us gently touch her mouth and nose, and she’s always excited for treats!
Laika is a sweet, shy girl who does really well with other dogs. She weighs about 26 kg and is adjusting well to life at the shelter, but we know she deserves so much more—a forever home where she can feel secure and loved again.
We hope someone will see her beautiful eyes and her gentle spirit and offer her the home and the love she so deserves.
