Mitsi was found lying on the street in a village near Loutraki, hit by a car and left paralyzed. Taken to the clinic, the situation looked grim, and the most likely outcome seemed to be that she would have to be put to sleep. She couldn’t move anything but her head, and the prognosis was bleak. But Mitsi didn’t give up. She fought, and week after week, she grew stronger. Her spirit and resilience were nothing short of extraordinary. She started walking again and would cry out at the vet’s face when she wanted to go out for walks.
Unfortunately, her accident left her with permanent neurological damage. Mitsi can’t fully control her bladder or bowels. She can pee when she feels it but often leaks when resting. As for pooping, it only happens when she’s asleep. We’ve learned to love her as she is—wonderfully stinky and full of life.
Despite these challenges, Mitsi has an incredibly sweet and affectionate personality. She’s friendly with everyone—dogs, cats, and people. She craves cuddles and kisses and is always the first to run for food, jumping excitedly in the air to catch treats. Her weight is 18 kg. Mitsi is also negative for all Mediterranean diseases, which is a huge relief.
Adopting Mitsi isn’t easy, but if you have the heart and courage to clean up after her, you’ll gain an incredible, loving companion who is forever grateful for the chance at a life full of love. Mitsi’s heart is pure, and she deserves a forever home that sees her for the amazing dog she is.
